This wine seems to reaffirm my feelings that a lot of the Livermore wines (Tasted about 25 now in the last 2 weeks) are hamstrung by the consistently high temperatures in the area, resulting in higher Brix at harvest and thus higher alcohol levels. This wine was very port-like, a bit too sweet up front and a bit too hot on the finish for a table wine, in my opinion, and redolent of prune and raisin flavors. Generally I like those prune notes - ie. Amarones and Valpolicella Ripassos - just not in these quantities. Went well with the food, but really more like a dessert wine.
