Another favorite from our visit to Napa. Big Horn Cellars is worth the stop, as they are a small studio winery that is experimenting with the best grapes from the best west coast grape growing regions. There is definitely oak in this wine, but their is also fruit and balanced acidity. This is a smooth wine that pairs well with food or cheese, but also is a stand-alone wine.

We loved Bighorn Cellars in Napa. They are doing some crazy things, and they spent so much time with us, explaining their wines - not to mention their cheese and almond plate. This wine was on sale, so we bought a bunch of it. At home, we were not disappointed by the chocolatey, leathery, tobacco, and dark berry notes. We would order an entire case, and unlike Miles in "Sideways" we will drink some fucking merlot as long as it is worth it!

This chardonnay has aged well. Caramel notes, and a full taste.
