The aroma on this wine is fresh enough, with good varietal character, but in the mouth it turns soft and rustic, and there's a vegetal taste in the finish despite decent berry flavors.

Here’s an old style red blend, the kind the Italian-American settlers drank. A blend of Zin, Syrah, Petite Sirah and Carignane, it’s dry, clean, full-bodied and fruity. Cries out for pasta, tomato sauce, grated cheese and beef.

This is a simple, fruity wine, tart in acidity and very dry. It's not as opulent as some Vogniers, instead showing lime and citrus flavors with a slight peachiness.

My gripe with this wine is that it tastes overly sweet. Too bad, because it has polished fig, melon and citrus flavors and nice acidity. If it were drier, it would be great. But plenty of people with a sweet tooth will enjoy it.
