This light and compact Falanghina delivers notes of white flower, mineral, peach and pear. The delicate aromas add an elegant edge and the wine is zesty and bursting with yellow fruit in the mouth.

This is a well-built Fiano from Basilicata with a luminous appearance and pretty aromas of stone fruit, melon, pear, almond and white stone. It’s easy, crisp and lean in texture and offers bright freshness glass after glass.

Armille is a pure expression of Syrah from the little-known Basilicata area of Southern Italy with chewy blackberry and blueberry flavors backed by soft, plush tannins. The wine has a velvety feel and great density on the finish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Here’s a modern blend of Aglianico, Merlot and Syrah with dense aromas of black fruit, lead, tar and wild mushroom. The wine definitely has a wild, rustic or untamed nature and closes with bold flavors of jammy fruit.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
There is a very pretty herbal quality here that helps to enhance the wine’s natural aromas of dark fruit, plum cake, black pepper, dried plum and prune. It boasts thick concentration and has gritty, nervous tannins on the close.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
There are ripe notes here of blackberry preserves, blueberry tart, chocolate and black stone that accompany this wine over its long finish. The wine has jackhammer tannins and enormous structure that need a few more years in the bottle to soften up.

This well integrated Aglianico del Vulture opens with ripe notes of black fruit and dried currants backed by softer aromas of leather and crushed clove or cinnamon. It’s a massively intense and dense wine with rock-solid tannins that need to be paired with succulent steak.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Here’s a simple, but bitingly sharp expression of Aglianico with direct aromas of black fruit and mineral backed by tight, thorny tannins. Thanks to its natural structure and alcohol, this wine has the ability to cut through the fattiest of foods.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Aromas of spice cake, dark plum, black tea and dried red rose characterize this austere Aglianico del Vulture. The wine has impressive thickness and succulence but also offers ethereal notes of tar, resin and old spice. Pair it with lamb couscous or any meat dish with curry or cumin seasonings.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Terra di Vulcano is a base line of wine from Bisceglia. The Agliancio del Vulture offers aromas of raspberry, strawberry, Indian spice and although the wine is big on ripe fruit flavors, it doesn’t taste jammy or cooked.
