Aromas of blackberry, rubber, asphalt and earth are full and gritty, while the palate has a tight frame and juicy acids. Flavors of zesty red cherry and currants are clean and forward, and on the finish it rounds out nicely, with licorice as a lasting flavor.

Opens with a slight chemical-smelling topping to berry, raisin and cheesy aromas. The palate is chunky on one hand and driving on the other, with berry and raisiny flavors. Lush on the finish but raisiny, and overall it settles on soft-bodied and flush.

Concentrated and reasonably ripe and spicy on the nose, but like many 2007 and 2008 Malbecs that are flooding the U.S. market, it leaves something to be desired. True to the grape and decently made but also acidic, herbal and dominated by barrel spice, with clove and resin on the finish. Comes across both sour and woody.

Earthy to the max, with stewed tomato and baked fruit on the nose. Sharp acids make it prickly and sour, with herbal strawberry as the lone fruit component. Stemmy and slightly murky Pinot. 1,000 cases made.

A stout, concentrated bouquet brings floral, savory aromas that are borderline stewed. The palate, however, is jangled and sharp, with bold acidity that makes the plum and berry flavors zesty and punchy. Almost sour tasting on its own; this will perform best with food. 50% Malbec with 25% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Starts with pushy aromas of air freshener/cleanser, which morph into white fruits like apricot and peach. The palate is sweet and basic, with candied white-fruit flavors and a pithy bite and mild bitterness. Decent but with a lot of generic character, pith and bitter accents.

Slightly thinner and more acidic than what I would expect from a Malbec from Mendoza. Very nice nose of violet, dark fruit and vanilla. Flavors of blackberry, plum and raspberry. After tasting it a day later, the wine had softened a lot.
