This wine captures the enigma that is Uruguayan Tannat. The nose is ripe, the color bold and purple. From that, you’d expect a lot. But the palate is wanting; the fruit is snappy and borderline tart. It just doesn’t seem fully ripe. And the wine turns horsey and tannic as it airs.
