Dry and peppery to start, with muted berry fruit aromas along with wood shavings. The palate is snappy, clean and juicy, with raspberry, vanilla and tobacco-like flavors. More basic than special, with a steady, light-framed finish. More than functional; likely good with food.

Peppery and lightly herbal on the nose, with a whiff of dry red fruits. The palate is pretty snappy and angular, however, the red-fruit flavors mixed with pepper and spice ring true. Finishes dry without a whole lot of carry. Imported by Classic Wines, Inc.

Transparent red in color, with dilute light berry aromas. Basic but angular pie cherry flavors are tart even if they’re accented by buttery light oak, and the finish is dry but fresh. Simple, tangy and thin.

Earthy and mildly medicinal smelling, with a healthy, not too stark palate that’s dealing pointed cherry flavors and some dry oak. It’s a touch sharp and angular, with a dry, peppery finish that’s lean, acid-driven and starching.
