Out of the chute, the aromas are sweet and cloying, but settle to reveal cured meat and leather notes. Purple fruit on the palate has its share of stably, briary accents, on through the finish. This unwooded Chard is elegant and a little austere, but very nice. It has a sturdy spine with a dry, mineral texture and light pear and citrus flavors. The finish isn’t tremendous at first, but lengthens and reveals citrus flavors with some time in the glass. 500 cases. Imported by Indigo Wine Group.
