Served at the Epstein’s Thanksgiving celebration in this unusual large format, the wine proved to be every bit as rich and ripe as one has come to expect from this Rhône-style blend; sweet, rich nose with lots of sweetness and ripe fruit, black cherries mix with black pepper, hints of earth and wood; ripe and rich in the mouth with lots of sweetness but a well-balanced presence of citrus and smooth, silky tannins; this is a well-made wine and Randall Graham has really perfected his “clone” of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape style.
