Very ripe nose, rich and sweet with dense and soft aromas, black fruits, smoke, an amazingly richly textured set of aromas; sweet and ripe in the mouth; very extracted; this wine has layers of fruit presented in a rich almost soupy textured wine; deep tannins are evident but they don’t interfere, although they are assertive; long mouth-coating finish; very good for what is not supposed to be a particularly good vintage.
