This is a gorgeous expression of Nebbiolo with rich oak influences that have been expertly contrasted against bright berry aromas. Lasting flavors of spice, leather and sweet tobacco seal the deal.

A well-made wine that offers plenty of dark fruit, violets and spices. Rich, big, fat and tasty, this is a wine that, while not overly serious, will still make for delicious drinking over the next five years.

The Ca’ Viola has a simple nose of coffee and fruit. Easy and soft on the palate, the coffee flavors are a little too much for the fruit. Finishes a little hot.

Brichet is a soft and plump Barbera with loads of red cherry, chocolate fudge and cinnamon. It’s fun, rich and easy to drink. Pair it with meatloaf or lamb chops.

A bit of a disappointment, with modest red fruit flavors accented by hints of rhubarb and pepper. It’s still a solid drink, but doesn’t show the full ripeness of the vintage’s best Barberas, finishing crisp and lemony. Imported by Vias Imports.

Plump and rich with sweet aromas of Maraschino cherry, blackberry syrup, cinnamon and creamy vanilla, Barturot speaks highly of the Dolcetto grape. The mouthfeel is dense, polished and dry.
