Crisply elegant wine with ripe cherry cola fruit, spices and a silky smooth texture. A fair amount of new oak adds vanilla and cream. This is a good price for a Pinot of this complexity and charm.

Fred Holloway’s first full vintage started off with a bang. This big, complex Chardonnay has aromas of tropical fruit underscored by butterscotch and mint. The flavors burst with pineapple and a touch of menthol, while the long, buttery finish is perfectly complemented by racy acidity.

This is a big, fat, unctuous Chardonnay marked by exceptional ripeness and smoky oak. Yet it never loses sight of balance. It’s powerful in candied or pie-filling pineapple jam, Mandarin orange zest, apricot brûlée and vanilla custard flavors that are completely dry and accented with crisp acidity. This is an amazing price for a wine of this quality. Sommeliers, buy this beauty by the case.

Much leaner than the ‘99 vintage. This release shows mineral, slate, and citrus fruit flavors and high acidity, and is very dry. Feels like liquid steel gliding over the palate, ultra-clean and tart. No creme brulee this year, but nonetheless a distinguished wine.

Big, ripe, rich and well-oaked. That pretty much says it all about this show-offy wine, with its bold, tropical fruit flavors, crisp coastal acidity and sleek structure. The tart taste of minerally gunmetal adds complexity.

With the massive honeyed sweetness, this dessert wine is easy to enjoy, but it has more going for it than just that. There are also polished apricot, pineapple brûlée and vanilla custard flavors.
