Gets the job done with dryness, crispness and savory flavors of lemons and limes. Nothing complicated here, just a good, affordable wine to drink with everything from cocktails to chicken and Chinese food.

Nicely dry and tart, with mouthwatering acidity. The flavors are of citrus fruits, with a vegetal undertow of green beans that is not necessarily unpleasant. Clean and vibrant, it’s a good cocktail wine.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Nice drinking in an everyday Merlot. Has pretty flavors of cherries, cola and plums that are ripe and juicy. Finishes with a ripely sweet, tannic flourish and a long, fruity aftertaste. A very good value.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This nice expression of Lodi Zin has concentrated flavors of plums, blackberries, herbs and peppery spices, and rustic tannins. It’s very dry. There’s a trace of bitterness as you swallow, but it’s the perfect pizza wine.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Marked by two things, a very great spiciness and a robust body, this Zin comes from vines that are more than 80 years old. The crushed black pepper, anise and cinnamon notes frame soft, jammy flavors of berries and chocolate. Good price for a Zin this interesting.
