The apple and citrus aromas are tinged with warmer, fuzzier, riper fruit, and the hints of peach carry over onto the palate. The finish is beautifully clean and pure, tingling with fruity acidity without being overly tart. A wonderful balancing act.

The brilliant garnet-pink color of this wine makes a great first impression but the wine loses a few points on the nose where Camembert cheese or Parmigiano-like aromas are a distraction. Red-berry fruit fragrances do work their way to the top and the wine has an attractive crisp, spicy close.

Pungent and smoky, filled with minerals and grapefruit, this is top-flight Sauvignon Blanc. The mouthfeel is smooth, silky and slightly creamy; the finish, long and delicate.

There’s smoke, pink grapefruit, graphite and just a hint of asparagus on the nose, but virtually nothing to indicate this wine is over 10 years old. Honeyed grapefruit flavors feature a liberal dusting of minerals on the long finish.

Like many Alto Adige Pinot Noirs, the beautiful floral aromas hit you first to be followed by a delicately choreographed ensemble of white almond, berry fruit, licorice root and white mushroom. Very good length and intensity in the mouth: This calls out for baked saltwater fish.

This spends 12 months in oak and it shows: It offers aromas of liquid smoke and flavors of brown sugar, honey and caramel. The fruit is subdued, leaving the emphasis on the oak and mineral components. Try with rich but delicately flavored fish dishes or mild chèvres.

This blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Riesling is the winery’s signature cuvée, and the unusual amalgam holds together well. Appley fruit and a good dose of citrus rind. Minerally and almost metallic, you can’t beat the ripeness of fruit. Long on the finish, if ever so slightly tart.
