Sweet honeyed fruit, strong presence of the barnyard in this wine, earthy, spicy; ripe and sweet in the front of the mouth, but then a quick turn to acidity, powerful and citric on the palate; very intense at the end and too citric for my tastes, just pucker up with this wine. (16/20)

Opens with a very smoky nose, strongly laced with minerals, but also perfumed and sweet, waxy, somewhat closed still and reluctant to open up its aromas; same in the mouth; at first quite narrowly focused with powerful citrus notes of lemons and limes; touch of bitter lemon peel; more softness and sweetness develops in the glass, and the wine shows that it has a lot to offer, just not yet; try again in a few years. (17 now but likely higher later)
