Already showing some signs of oxidation, which has softened but not integrated the flavors. This is a disjointed wine, tannic, spicy, with a sweet cracker flavor that falls off into an empty mid-palate before heading into very dry, very chalky tannins at the finish.

Clearly an ambitious effort, but one that’s raisiny and roasted, with pruny, burnt flavors and a healthy dose of astringency.

Grassy and herbaceous style, showing light, lemony fruit and mouth-puckering acid.

Simple, tart, green apple fruit awkwardly married to hard, tannic oak. Nothing comes together; the fruit seems thin and the oak tags a bitter, woody finish onto it.

A distinct scent of garlic rises from the glass; not a good beginning. This is sugary sweet, awkward, and disjointed.
