Black cherries, vanilla and a slightly creamy, lactic note on the nose are followed up by a wine that’s filled with mocha, earth and chocolate flavors. Finishes with firm tannins and juicy acids, folding in hints of red berries. Drink now and over the next 2–3 years.

At first glance, this wine, with its modest cherry and cedar aromas and flavors seems too acidic and too tannic. But it seems to fill out a little as it sits in the glass, giving some hope that it will evolve in a positive direction.
