Here’s a nicely balanced Barbera d’Asti Superiore from the Nizza subzone that shows not too much fruit and not too much oak. The wine is clean and polished and delivers light steps on the palate, unlike some of the much denser and heavier expressions you will find. Very nice and elegant.

Black fruit and wild berry are wrapped in an enticing envelope of spice and tobacco. This expression of Barbera d’Asti Superiore has both elements of the modern and the traditional and leaves the mouth refreshed thanks to its naturally crisp acidity.
