A bouquet of bright cherries, herbs and cocoa opens this solid wine. The palate is big, with a creamy texture; tart cherry, tobacco and toast flavors prevail. Tempered tannins and lots of oak flavors show through on the dry finish. Attractive, and should improve over next year or two.

This is an easygoing Chianti Classico with unfocused aromas of red berry fruit, almond and cola. Although it does lack sharpness and definition, it does offer mature berry fruit flavors and good acidity on the close.
