Seems overripe and stewy at first; airing brings it into better form, but there’s still a lot of overt oak sitting on the bouquet. Flavors of raisins, cherries and plums are dark and chewy, while the finish offers vanilla and lively acids. Not dull but clumsy and heavy. Imported by Table 31 Imports.

From a region where sweet, ripe wines rule, you’re not going to get much from this tangy, tart wine dominated by minty aromas and sharp cranberry and raspberry flavors. It’s choppy and needling.
