More traditional and Old World in style, with some light oak supporting aromas of rubber, smoked meats, leather and berry fruit. There’s good life to the bouncy palate along with flavors of zesty plum and cherry. Snappy and crisp on the finish.

Just makes it to that next level of quality via bright, jumpy, fresh aromas and flavors of raspberry and cherry. It’s a simple varietal Grenache that’s bright and easy to like if you’re into zesty raspberry and berry flavors uplifted by spunky acidity. Best with a little chill on the temperature.

This is mucky and sweet. Its best foot is not put forward via the compost-like nose, and from then on there’s little more than prune, leather and a sticky mouthfeel.

Standard black-cherry aromas carry a candied, vanilla-like twinge, while the feel is juicy and snappy. Flavors of sweet berries and cherry are just fine, and they come with a nod of spice and bitterness. Punchy and fresh overall, with good ripeness and balance.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This full-bodied, cherry-dominated Garnacha is pretty good considering the price. The nose is a bit raisiny and ripe, while the palate is sweet but balanced. A standard red wine with clarity and no surprises.

Ruby in color and sweet on the nose. Yes, it’s a candied Grenache from central Spain, and while it doesn’t overwhelm, it’s steady as she goes. Plenty of raspberry and cherry on the palate is backed by a clear, focused finish. A tasty, upright, semisweet red.
