Whoever this Catherine is, she doesn’t say very much, and what she does say, she doesn’t say very loudly. More than one reviewer called this Syrah mute—but what flavors and aromas we could discern were nice. Grape, mulling-spice and pencil eraser notes whisper from the bouquet; black tea, blackberry fruit and leather resonate on the palate. Finishes short, dry and minerally.
