Waaaaaay big in the mouth, this limited-release Zin (we’re talking 198 cases) has a metallic-grapefruit note that cuts into tart blackberry and oak on the palate. Closes with tart grape skin, oak, ink and molasses flavors. Linger over the bouquet’s lilac, lavender and stewy blackberry nose.

Smoky, heavy toasted oak complements mild tropical fruit, nuts and coconut on the nose. The toasty flavor and a decidedly earthy note reads big against the pineapple, citrus and rich vanilla notes showing in the palate of this even, medium-weight wine. Finishes dry, brisk and slightly tart.
