Tart and lemony, with green apple and lime flavors. The vintage is noted for its high acidity, and this wine is definitely for acid lovers. Fermented in stainless, with 20% aged in new French oak for just 14 weeks.

This 100% Barbera from Alder Ridge grapes is still pulling itself together. The aromas are laced with vanilla from the barrel aging, and the fruit is still sharp and acidic. But scents of violets and flavors of raspberry candy, along with white chocolate, show that all the components are in place for a interesting wine from a rarely seen varietal.
