Smells simple, with vague notes of citrus fruits, but just the opposite in the mouth. Takes control of the palate with big, oaky flavors of citrus jam, wood and lots of peppery spices, and finishes rather sweet. A bit over the top.

A big, big Cab blend, lush and opulent in well-ripened cherries and cassis, with oak doing its vanilla and toast thing. The tannins are soft, smooth and almost fully resolved, making this wine drink well now.

From Mitch Cosentino’s estate vineyard, a wine whose aroma is dominated by the perfume of well-charred oak, with vanilla overtones. Beneath is a burst of black cherry and raspberry fruit, and a rich scent of dark honey. In the mouth, the wine is overly sweet, almost sappy, and lacks delicacy and charm.

Spicy fruit marks this deliciously drinkable wine, with apple, melon and citrus veering into tropical fruit flavors. It's crisply round and polished, and slightly sweet, with a degree of complexity. The palate is especially packed with dusty Asian spices and quince.

A soft, cuddly sort of wine. A core of ripe fruit nestles inside layers of toast, caramel and dried spices; it’s supple and easy from start to finish.
