This Chianti sees six months of wood aging to render distinct oak-related aromas that come on the heels of, and almost overwhelm, the red fruit and cherry. The tannins are hard, just shy of astringent.

This blend of Sangiovese (90%) and Colorino (10%) presents a thicker and denser style than usual for these native Tuscan varieties. The wine is packed tightly with exotic spice, church incense, scented candle and vanilla. The mouthfeel is smooth and bright on the close.
