* Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
Earthen nose with typically dry aromas that characterize this vintage at this stage, there is plenty of ripe fruit and sweetness, a touch of mushrooms and truffles show the age; at the front of the mouth the wine is sweet and very ripe; then more dryness creeps into the flavors, characteristic of the austerity that this vintage is known for; quite elegant still and a classic statement of the terroir; long finish, a bit hot at the end, but still a classic; needs to be drunk soon.
