Always an underrated property, the wines seem to excel year after year with little recognition; this bottle is no exception, with a wonderfully sweet and ripe nose with rich fruit aromas, earthen and peppery with deep black fruit scents; sweet and ripe in the mouth with dense but balanced textures; lots of ripe fruit mixed with big dry tannins; this wine is quite intense for a ’66 with a long finish that has loads of flavor and life left.
