The wine has a classic Lafite nose, sweet and evolved fruit aromas mixed with cedar and “lead pencil” scents topped off with a nice oriental spice box infusion; sweet and spicy fruit still define a portion of this wine, but it is increasingly showing signs of drying out, as are many of the wines of this vintage now, and the medium finish, characterized with dry, chalky tannins is quickly losing its charm.
