* Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
An almost forgotten property that produces very credible wines; this bottle that I believe has been in my possession since its original release, opened with a classic nose or soft-toned sweet, perfumed, ripe fruit and earth, balanced aromas, rich and quite deep and screaming of terroir; a beauty in the mouth with soft-scented fruit flavors, lots of black cherries and plums, softened tannins now, but still there to provide a solid framework for the wine; not complex or particularly cerebral, the wine is a classic of the vintage, light and well structured with classy flavors; a bit coarse and rough, but much better than many of the “big” names.
