Sweet nose, lots of honeyed fruit, minerals, quite aromatic with floral scents much like the ’99 above; sweet and round in the mouth, but not as balanced and complete as the ’99; there is lots of fruit here, but the wine is a bit thicker and more opaque; good spices and touch of green herbs keep the wine focused though; long finish, citric and a nice dry finish. Sweet and rich nose, green spices, waxy, clover, honeysuckle, oleander and hyacinth, minerals and layers of aromas; sweet and round in the front of the mouth, then quickly showing a strong core of citrus fruit acidity that borders of sharp, but pulls back at the last minute to restrain the wine and keep it fresh; light and smooth at the end with a nice lemon peel flavors at the end. Sweet and ripe nose with aromas of cranberries, tar, black spices and cracked pepper, black fruits; strangely diffuse and with a touch of dilution in the mouth, lots of cranberry, earth and wood flavors, peppery and sweet; more time in the glass allows the wine to gain some focus, peppery and sweet, black cherries, but a hard, unfinished ending; this needs more time to show what it can do. Provided directly from the château , the wine is still too young to really enjoy all of its character; the nose is deep and rich, almost brooding with a powerful presence of cassis and black fruits, earth and cedar nuances waft throughout, but the nose is still pretty monolithic; deep and rich in the mouth, the wine shows a great deal of poise and balance; still pretty closed but with loads of black fruit; big dry tannins at this stage, but has depth and power, and will clearly evolve beautifully. (17 now but more to come)

Provided directly from the château , the wine has a deep and rich nose, ripe fruit, sweet and exotic but not with the expected heavy tropical influence, sweet lemons, honeyed fruit, lush and layered, fresh and spicy; rich and sweet in the mouth; this wine has lots of fat at this stage, although it also has a lot of acidity; sweet lemons and lemon juice; some minerals, a touch tropical but not as much as some years; quite complete and lush; long smooth finish with a silky texture; bigger and fatter than some of these wines can be. Smoky nose, loaded with minerals, but also with lots of sweet scents and the characteristic touch of vinyl; the wine has lots of sweet fruit at the front of the mouth, but also a big shot of lemon juice right on top; the wine is round and ripe in the mouth, and perhaps a bit heavy and morose for this wine, but a good structure and plenty of fresh fruit keeps it focused at the end. (15.5/20)
