88-90 There are attractive mint aromas, which lead to a wine which has new wood, richness and powerful fruit alongside the ripe tannins.

89-91 Firm and structured, plenty of bitter chocolate as well as sweet fruit. The wine is very dense, wearing its tannins on the surface. Power here, dark and firm.

88-90 Barrel sample. Attractive peppermint aromas, almost eucalyptus, give this wine an Australian character. To taste it is soft, rich, dark and New World .

86-88 Barrel sample. Totally dominated by wood, the fruit doesn't have the weight to support all that toast. It's hard to get beyond the spice to find the berry fruits and final fresh acidity.
