91-93 Barrel sample. A big, dense wine, with wonderful blackcurrant juiciness. It is dense and powerful, balanced with the sweetness of fresh juice and spice.

The rustic aromas are off-putting in this wine. It has a proper density but seems to have a musty character. This could blow off over time, because the fruit is here.

87—89 Barrel sample. Even lesser Pomerol estates did well in 2006. The concentrated fruit of this wine is all about ripe Merlot, and the acidity gives a burst of life.
