85-87 Barrel sample. Over-jammy wine, the fruit super-ripe. It seems highly extracted, with a southern spice to it. Out of character.

A solid, black currant-flavored wine, layered with dry tannins. There is plenty of Merlot-dominated ripe fruit here, although the wood level seems to be too high.
