Everything is so fascinating in this wine. Clos de la Bergerie is salty and sweet, as if sea salt had been gently sprinkled on the ripest of mangoes and sweet peaches. It is poised, like a dancer, while at the same time being full and powerful. Finally, the mineral, chalky character of pure Chenin Blanc comes through. Age this wine for at least five years.

Chenin Blanc, a much abused and neglected grape in California, shines in the Loire Valley of France. This excellent example from Nicolas Joly’s biodynamic estate shows power and fruit concentration and a delicious minerally edge that lingers through a complex finish.

This may be the least complex wine in Nicolas Joly’s range of wines, but it is still full of complex flavors. Sweet currants mingle with tannins, pure layers of acidity and nut notes. A great expression of Chenin Blanc. Imported by Vintus.

White, almost jammy fruits, mingle with acidity, minerality and tight tannins. This is a wine that offers spice, superrich fruit and intensity of flavor. Like all the wines produced by Nicolas Joly, this is made from biodynamically grown grapes, offering pure flavor and nothing else.
