A beautifully structured wine, with great ripe dark fruits, but also dense and complex. Faugères is showing great class at the moment, and with its balanced, but ripe fruit, this wine is impressive and well worth aging.

92-94 Spice and mint aromas with blackberry fruit, new wood and a polished character. The acidity is delicious, refreshing.

The quality of Faugères continues to be impressive, none more so than in lesser vintages. This 2002, with its fine structure, balancing tannins, fruit and acidity is dry but has layers of tarry black fruit flavors, leaving a great, fresh, lifted taste in the mouth.

90-92 Barrel sample. Good ripe fruit, very dense with concentrated black chocolate and ripe fruits, but showing some alcohol burn.

Corinne Guisez scored a great success with her 2000. The wine is finely polished, shining, with its generous, deeply concentrated fruits and fine perfumes. The tannins show through the fruit, while the wood flavors hide much more discreetly in the background.
