This thickly-textured red has a knock-out nose, with intense leather, raspberries and black olive along with hints of fresh flowers in the background. There's admirable density on the palate and a final lingering note of garrigue. This one's already had a few years in the cellar and is best drunk up before the end of 2011.

Sweet pear and banana-like aromas feature a touch of match stick in front of a viscous, round palate housing a mixture of orange, lemon, banana flavors. A panel-rated wine in which two reviewers liked its round mouthfeel and solid fruit content and one found it quite average, with a wan personality. Mostly Viognier and Roussanne.
