96-98 Barrel sample. A powerful, complex wine, its layers of sweetness mixed with a total dryness from botrytis. The wine is impressively rich, considerably inspired by dried fruits and spice. Certainly for aging over decades.

Light gold color, but a wine with depth and balance. There is lovely acidity here, a wine that offers fresh fruits, apricot juice and deep layers of botrytis.

Extravagantly rich, this is dense and supersweet initially, just balanced with acidity. The botrytis dryness is really not here at this stage, but with its elegant creamy texture, wood flavors still very present. This is still at the very beginning of its development.

94-96 Concentrated, chunky, the richness just a part of the huge power. It's a wine of considerable density, very liquorous.

90–92 Apples and cream, richness and sweetness, this wine is almost ready to drink. There is acidity and freshness, as well as fine botrytis.

Rich in the mouth, this is a smooth, unctuous wine, made even more attractive by its lemon and honey freshness. The dryness of botrytis comes through to the finish, with a delicious lifted acidity running right through the wine. It is rich, but balanced by that fine acidity.

93—95 Barrel sample. A very intense, ripe wine, packed with botrytis. It has great ripe flavors, plenty of apricots and dense, full fruit. At the top.

91-93 Barrel sample. A deeply golden-colored wine, but to taste, it is more poised and fresh than the color suggests. There's an attractive liquorous feel to the wine, but that is balanced by good clean, fresh fruit tastes. This will be delicious.

A rich ginger marmalade of a wine, with pear and spice syrup flavors. This is dense and textured, smooth and unctuous, but beautifully lifted by acidity. Impressive and ageworthy.
