The Kressmann family produces a classic white at its Martillac estate. It is powered with fresh apples and cream flavors. A delicate layer of wood gives a fine lift to this Sauvignon Blanc-dominated the blend. There is a streak of minerality the wine more than just deliciously fruity.

92-94 Barrel sample. Rich and creamy, showing ripe Sauvignon fruits, hinting at tropical. The fruit is certainly ripe, full in the mouth, but has preserved a good, tight structure and freshness

91-93 Barrel sample. With its dryness, this seems at first to be all tannin. There is, though, a black currant fruit flavor that shows through after the wine has been in the mouth for a while, and the aftertaste has fine acidity. This should develop well.

Spicy, with wood there as well as tannins, this is a dark, extracted wine. There is stalkiness, balanced with dense berry fruits and final acidity.

87—89 Barrel sample. Plenty of fresh blackcurrant flavors here, in a wine that is charming, with its ripe fruits and lively acidity. The fruit is open, dominating the tannins. An early developer.

For the vintage, this is a rich wine, which means it has concentration, solid fruit characters and hints of chocolate. It also has bright acidity that lifts the wine and gives it a lighter final character.
