A juicy wine, showing attractive fruit and black currant acidity that gives the wine a lift. Maybe not hugely concentrated, but a good bargain from Pauillac.

94-96 Barrel sample. Firm and solid, but also full of charm and elegance, the fruit ripe and sweet, delicious. That gives already a wine with balance, tremendous juiciness as well as structure.

A correct, straightforward wine. Maybe it doesn’t excite, but it doesn’t disappoint either. The fruit has delicious black currants, but the fine, delicate structure doesn’t promise much aging.

88-90 A well-balanced wine which shows dense but not hugely dry tannins, good black flavors, layers of acidity and ripeness.

89-91 Barrel sample. Very firm and dry, perhaps missing the exuberant fruit of other Pauillacs. But it has good restraint that shows serious tannins and a firm, solid character.

A finely made wine, with elegant fruit and tannins, but definitely on the light side. The red berry fruits are soft and juicy, already a pleasure to drink, with only short-term aging.

92-94 A rich and firm wine, packed with dark tannins, wood flavors, very concentrated and dense. The sweet, smoky character comes through to give opulent black fruits.

88-90 Barrel sample. An intensely spicy wine, full of exotic flavors, dried prunes, figs and a powerful layer of cinammon. The wine certainly has character.
