This wine has pleasant, fresh fruit, some good tannins and ripe fruit. It is soft, with forward fruits, and a simplicity that makes it ready to drink now.

The problem with this special cuvée from Mongravey is wood. There is too much of it, and it completely dominates the high-extract fruit. There is toast, oak and more toast. The fruit seems too light to cope.
