Fruity and smoky, this wine succeeds on its charm, with soft tannins, acidity and superripe fruit. With its (for Pomerol) high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine certainly has structure, but maybe misses on richness.

92-94 Barrel sample. Smooth, soft, this wine has dry tannins that are well integrated into the solid, dark fruit. A powerful wine, but one that hides its power well.

Chocolates and ripe fruit notes are found in this rounded. rich and soft wine. It’s all fruit cake, raisins and sweet plums. Velvet tannins add cushioning.

88-90 Great fruit, full of dark tannins come from the Cabernet Sauvignon which dominates the 2003 wine from this estate. It is powerful but balanced.

91–93 This has solid, modern, polished fruit that is taking on new-wood flavors. But that fruit is rich enough to power through the wood and give freshness and ripeness when mature.

93-95 With its dark concentration of flavors, this is hugely dense, very ripe and juicy. There is a fruit salad of rich berries here, powerful, finished with some tough, dry tannins.
