Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This is a pale, peach-scented rosé, with hints of cherries as well. The blend of 40% Cinsault, 30% Grenache and 30% Syrah lacks the lively acids of some Provençal rosés, but features a pleasant roundness on the palate instead, finishing soft and easy. Imported by Routas USA.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Subtle and restrained, drawn in a more oxidative, less overtly fruity style. The palate is broad and unfocused but shows good depth of flavor and an intriguing thread of apricot. Ends with a nutty, almond note. Drink up.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Rather broad in the mouth without being particularly weighty or rich, with restrained aromatics of apricot and spice and flavors of melon, apricot and pepper. Drink now; the 2007 tasted out of tank looks significantly more interesting. Imported by Routas USA.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This 100% Syrah is a bit tough and chewy on the finish, but also has lots of black-cherry fruit upfront and a suave, medium-bodied mouthfeel. Imported by Routas USA.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This medium-bodied blend of 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 30% Cinsault offers simple, fruity flavors suggestive of peaches, red plums and citrus fruit. Crisp and clean on the finish; a nice picnic rosé.

The price and reddish-pink color don't distinguish it from the scores of other Provencal roses, but once you breathe in the aromatics and place some of this mint-tinged tongue-teaser in your mouth, you'll be sold. --M.M. This wine reappeared as a Top 100 Best Buy in the 2000 Best of Year issue.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Herbes de Provence and black cherries mark the nose of this well-priced blend. The 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon have integrated well, leaving ripe, plummy fruit accented by hints of spice and leather. Shows just a touch of warmth on the long finish, making this a good value. Imported by Routas USA.

When my wife, normally no great fan of rosé, says, “I really like this wine,” that’s an endorsement you can take to the bank. Aromas of wild berries and melon are reserved, the punch solid, and the color a lovely light salmon. This Provençal wine is good year in and year out, so there’s no reason not to expect the same from the upcoming 2004. A great summertime refresher that goes down fast and easy. Excellent with salads topped with vinaigrettes.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This tasty Southern French white has an orange- tangerine profile and an even, faintly creamy mouthfeel. Cuts a fine line between citrus tang and softness-and succeeds. Respected Santa Barbara County vintner Bob Lindquist of Qupé consults, and has crafted a wine that closes with good length and a touch of pepper and spice. Drink through 2002.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A darkly handsome, inviting cherry, toast and licorice nose opens this 50-50 Syrah/Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Full and dry on the palate, this solid four year old still warrants a year or two of cellaring. Finishing with a chalky feel and firm, even tannins, it's another positive example of substance and structure from the south.
