Perfumed, earthy, spicy, this is a balanced wine that brings its tannins firmly together with black fig, black plum skins and sweet juicy black cherries. The core is dry, but the delicious fruit finally dominates. That said, it is sure to have some good aging.

With its aging in large barrels, this has a fine sense of dense structure allied to minerality and tight minerality. Flavors of cherries, concentrated fruits, violets, spice, all suggest an aging potential of five years plus.

Structured, with firm tannins, a far remove from the image of Brouilly as the softest of the Beaujolais crus. There is spice, fresh juiciness with berry flavors rolling around the wine. But the structure comes through strongly, the finish with fresh acidity.
