Relatively lightweight, the wine has soft, stalky tannins and flavors of hedgerow fruits to go with the well-judged layer of smoky wood. It is dry, firm and fresh.

Bright, round wine, with a layer of firm mineral tannins, but more about black berry and plum fruits, jammy acidity and a finishing dry structure. This second wine of Vray Croix de Gay will be ready in 2–3 years.

Fine ripe flavors, combine elegance with rich, opulent Merlot fruits. There is a strong jelly element here in the sweet fruit, but there are also tannins and a firm, dry texture. The final fruit is black, intense.
