Actually a very nice nose for this property, opening with soft and sweet aromas of chocolate and pepper, earthen, charcoal, tea leaves and tobacco; sweet and ripe in the mouth with layers of ripe fruit; actually quite opulent; loaded with earth and lemon spice flavors; quite balanced and complex for this property; long finish with layers of flavor; this is the way this wine used to be made, but isn’t any more; also very good for the vintage at this age.
