The cherry aromas of this wine are so sweet, so obvious, that they come across as almost candied; thankfully, they’re balanced by subtle spice and leather shadings that make it clear that this is wine, not fruit juice. Silky tannins bolster that impression, nicely buffering and extending the finish.

Somewhat earthy with a tar flavor. The finish has a weird metallic note. Not my favorite, especially not at $37 retail.

Dark black/red cherry color throughout, slightly burnt cherry notes. Thin finish.
