Classic barnyardy nose, very sweet with the usual presence of overripe fruit that characterizes this vintage, smoke, earth, good acidity and lots of black cherry fruit, the nose remains a bit cellary and damp; ripe and smooth in the mouth with black cherry flavors most dominant; deep and earthen but with coarse tannins; a bit dilute in the mid-mouth; dry earthen tannins at the finish. This is classic Dujac, opening with a very sweet and perfumed nose, violets, carnations, aromatic floral scents, but also a nice mix of earth, pepper, and a touch of the barnyard; opens with rich black fruits on the palate that are both spicy and smooth; then more earthen and peppery flavors take over; culminating at the finish with black cherries, tobacco leaf, and dry lemony flavors; quite elegant. Sweet and very perfumed, floral, charcoal and smoke, black cherries, green grass, herbs, quite complex and intense; sweet and ripe in the mouth; lots of black cherry fruit; very silky and smooth but with a great core of citrus fruit and lemony acidity that adds a lot of freshness to the wine; elegant, but in the Dugat style of deep extraction; long finish with sour cherry, earth, and balanced tannins; great for the vintage. Sweet and perfumed nose with wonderful hints of sour mash, pepper and spice, intense and earthy aromas bordering on harsh, but still in balance; sweet fruit on the entry, lots of spices, powerful flavors; marred somewhat by very aggressive tannins; hot on the palate; not at the top of the food chain. Good, fresh nose in this format; sweet and spicy on the opening gun, quite smoky and earthen, not particularly complex though with more ripe, mature fruit aromas but not a lot of interesting side notes; sweet and spicy in the mouth, there is a touch of Hermitage in this wine; deep intense color with a hint of pepper and leather from the south; but at the same time the wine is full and ripe with fresh sweet flavors that are expressive and complete; long finish, certainly does not taste its age. Sweet and ripe nose, a wonderful blend of black cherries, black pepper, and chocolate, smoky, deep and intense but also has wonderful balance, seductive; full flavors in this wine, lots of cherries and blackberries; good shot of lemony acidity in the center keeps the wine fresh and focused; not at all showing age at this point; long finish with great fruit and integrated tannins.
