This wine is well balanced, rich and unctuous, the sweetness and denseness so carefully blended with acidity, orange zest and dry botrytis. It is a gorgeous, ripe wine, intense but retaining its freshness.

A big, rich wine, showing its gorgeous fruit easily. But with a core of dryness, the ripest apricots touched by caramel, it should age well over many years. There is intense power here, still hidden by the youth of the wine, but with final concentration.

Intensely rich, very perfumed wine, full of apples and honey flavors. There is also fresh fruit, but the richness dominates, showing some dry botrytis flavors to finish.

Beautiful aromas of orange zest are followed by gingerbread, caramel and crème brûlée flavors. This is a beautiful, rich, smoothly dense wine with a core of botrytis, spice and vivid fresh citrus acidity.

97-99 Barrel sample. A tasting from several barrels, because the chateau has not made the final blend, so the rating is provisional. But the wine is so rich, with an almost perfect balance of acidity and ripeness, allied to a complete purity of honeyed botrytis. However the final wine turns out, it will be magnificent.

A very young Sauternes indeed, the wine opens quite harsh as a precocious youth, but then becomes softer and silkier with aromas of honey and apricot, sweet spices, quite perfumed, elegant nose; sweet and smooth in the mouth, nice touch of honey flavors that blend seamlessly with apricot and white peach flavors; this is quite sophisticated for a wine so young, showing good balance and structure; not too heavy and exhibiting a light touch at the end; probably not destined for greatness, but good structure.

Old nose, but not unpleasant, slightly roasted aromas, burnt orange peel, sweet fruit; sweet and roasted flavors, in the mouth a touch of orange peel, caramel; still plenty of fresh acidity; fresher in the mouth than the nose; a bit clumsy and not showing much subtlety, but good old Sauternes flavors. Wonderful nose, sweet and aromatic with apricots and caramel, powdered sugar, pineapples; sweet and spicy in the mouth, sweet but not cloying and with good complexity for a wine that is still very young; flavors of spicy apples, pineapple, vanilla bean, but plenty of acidity to maintain freshness and focus.
