Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A great expression of the terroir, this rosé made from 50% Syrah, 40% Grenanche and 10% Cinsault is loaded with garrigue accents (lavender and thyme) among the fresh strawberry and cherry fruit core. Clean and zippy on the finish with a lingering soft spice accent.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Densely structured and packed with great ripe fruits, this is a fine wine dominated by black fruit. From the 190-acre estate owned by the Valentin and Durand families, it has solidity, depth and some acidity. The finish is minty and herbal, with a hint of bitter chocolate.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
From the Pic St. Loup region of the Languedoc, this rosé has flavors reminiscent of the reds produced in the area. Bold aromas and flavors of raspberries, wild blueberry, pear, and ripe tropical fruit are accented by minty notes. A zippy citrus finish closes the wine nicely.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A beautiful rosé dominated by juicy stone fruit and a strong garrigue herbal character of lavender and rosemary on the nose. Fruit flavors abound in the mouth: cherry, nectarine and vibrant plum all mingle with the soft spice that lingers throughout the finish. Balanced with great finesse and nuance.

Some foliage aromas are echoed in the mouth along with dark fruit and banana. Medium weight and structured tannins provide a full body, leading into a strong but somewhat waxy finish.

There’s a strong herbal presence in the bouquet of this wine (bay leaves, clover) that marries well with the red plum and dried raspberry flavors. The mouth is smooth and creamy with a touch of tobacco spice lingering on the close. Drink now–2012.

Kirsch, black currant, cured meat and foliage notes lead the way on this concentrated, tightly structured wine. Dried black cherry and fresh garrigue herbs fill the velvety textured mouth, and linger well into the finish alongside a touch of cocoa powder flavor. Drink now through 2014.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A beautiful nose full of classic garrigue-infused herbaceousness is supported by notes of raspberry-sage preserves and sweet spiced baked fruit. The mouth lacks a certain vibrancy, though, with a lighter than expected weight and acidity. The finish falls a little short, with a somewhat jarring sweet sharpness.
